McAfee Antivirus Review

McAfee has been in the antivirus business for a long time. The company was founded in 1988, and is known for its firewalls, antispam solutions, file encryption, and public key infrastructure. It is best known, however, for its anti-virus and has a stronghold on the market. Security suites that it offers provide comprehensive protection against viruses and malware and are protected by a $1 million identity theft guarantee.

All plans from McAfee include an advanced malware scanner that will block the entry of malware into a computer system and kill or eliminate the malware that have already penetrated it. Its real-time engine prevents malware from being downloaded and redirects, encrypts and decrypts data so that your internet activities aren’t able to be spied on.

In our tests, McAfee consistently achieved top marks in Test of 0 days by AV-Test and our malware protection test. It also aced our privacy tests, scoring 100 percent in each of those categories.

The interface is clear and simple to navigate. It’s a little hard to access features such as parental controls or identity theft protections. The dashboard is split into separate menus. Support is a little difficult to find. The McAfee Community Forum is in operation, but Techmaster Concierge will be required to assist you with more complex issues.

The most disappointing thing was that the McAfee system scan failed to clean up some junk files we had on our test systems. It also does not provide the ability to drag and drop a directory or www.swiftvpnapp.com/we-have-identified-3-of-the-best-data-room-solutions-available-in-2023 file into the suite to scan like many of its competitors do. This is a big no-no for a security software that costs this much.
