Before the film begins, there is a short trailer for the film Pemukiman Setan (2023). A remake of Siccîn (2014). I don’t understand what the director is trying to achieve with this adaptation. Are you saying that people shouldn’t pray because it doesn’t help them in evil deeds? Because that’s exactly what you’ve been doing since the Makmun series came out. You’re making people afraid that if they pray alone, even this particular evil might pray with them. Even if this exists, is there a big deal to be made of it? Spreading more fear than actually encouraging them to pray? Shame on the director who thinks this is a masterpiece. Because it’s not.
